The Georgia Bulldogs blew a first half lead and fell short in a 65-57 loss to the Xavier Musketeers.
Trey Thompkins scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds but fouled out with more than two minutes to play.
The loss of Thompkins pretty much ended any chance of a late rally for the Bulldogs, who lost a great chance to add to their tournament resume.
Georgia took a one-point lead into the locker room and lead by five in the second half before Xavier made a run. (Read More…)

The Georgia Bulldogs rallied back in the second half but still couldn’t get past the Kentucky Wildcats, 66-60.
Kentucky built a 15-point halftime lead, but the Bulldogs simply weren’t willing to go away quietly.
Trey Thompkins scored 25 points in the first meeting between the two teams, but it was a different story this time around.
Thompkins failed to reach double figures and shot just 2 of 10 from the field as the Wildcats honed in on him. (Read More…)
